Spaceport - An arcade environment, for 3Darcade
http://www.mameworld.info/3darcade/index.html

ABOUT THIS ARCADE
-----------------

This is the third (and likely last) in a series of historically-based arcade environments made by me for 3DArcade, following Station Break and Time-Out. Spaceport was a chain of american arcades throughout the U.S in the 1980s and early 1990s, using a space-themed motif and uniforms. Ironically, in the 90s mergers and cosolidations left Spaceport, Station Break and Time-Out all owned by the same corporate investors.

Almost all spatial and design reference for this arcade came from the set of two slide-based videos made in 1981 to train new Spaceport employees, made from pictures purported to have been taken on location in the Langhorne, Pennsylvania arcade. The pictures and narration provide a cavalcade of unintentional comedy, showing the uniforms and duties of attendants at work and outlining their job expectations.

Thanks once again to Jibmums who assisted with several bitmaps used in the model and for providing assistance identifying games and features in the source videos. Also thanks to Skurt for suggestions during the light-mapping process.
